Counsellor Profile: Jenny Anderson

In response to my Christian faith, and working with clients from any faith or none, my counselling practice is person-centred and integrative. I’m an experienced counsellor with a wide range of counselling skills, working in a holistic way to help you explore and resolve issues by offering a safe, non-judgmental space in a way which best suit your individual needs.

Led by your personal interests, I can offer opportunities to incorporate art, construction, crafts, engineering, metaphors, nature and other tools into sessions to help explore presenting issues. I’ve found that meeting clients ‘where they are’, fostering an ethically-based, client-focussed and therapeutic relationship naturally leads to fruitful and collaborative working as we journey together.

I have a wide range of experience in working with adults and young people with issues that include abuse, anxiety, adverse childhood experiences, ASD, bereavement, depression, OCD, self-esteem, self-harm, PTSD, spiritual abuse, suicidal thoughts, trauma, work related issues and vicarious trauma with an emphasis on client autonomy, safety and stability.

I was blessed to graduate from United Churches Healing Ministry in Huddersfield with a Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Christian Counselling and have since supplemented this training with short courses and workshops. I’m a Registered Counsellor Member of the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) and a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I am available for remote appointments on Tuesday evenings, Thursday daytime & evening, Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.
