Registered Counsellor
Eila Platt
I have trained as a mental health nurse and have experience as a counsellor since 2006. I have worked in a variety of different areas including prison, NHS and substance misuse services.
Personal Introduction
My original training was in a person-centred approach using elements of psychodynamic counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, and spiritual formation.
I have since trained in a number of different counselling models and theories, including transactional analysis, counselling for depression and interpersonal psychotherapy.
I therefore work in an integrative manner, depending on what may be most helpful to you.
Experience
Recognising the need for counselling can be hard, so I offer a safe space for when life hurts, using a number of different counselling models and theories to help with how you are feeling.
